New Delhi:A day after the government once again invited protesting farmers for talks on December 30, the Kisan Congress agreed to hold a meeting adding it will hold a countrywide protest if these laws are not repealed.
Earlier, the protesting farmers were warned to hold a tractor rally on December 30, if the three controversial farm laws are not revoked.
While addressing a farmer protest rally in New Delhi, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) President Balbir Singh Rajewal, who has been holding talks with the Centre said that the protest is now not limited to Punjab and Haryana rather it has gained a nationwide movement.
While speaking to ETV Bharat after the rally, he said, I feel very sorry for Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar as he became a 'toy' for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Despite, his desire to revoke the controversial farm laws, he has been 'acting' to support the laws in order to show his solidarity with the prime minister."
He also informed that the tractor rally which was earlier scheduled for December 30 has been postponed to December 31st if the government denied accepting their demands.
When asked about any negotiations with the Centre if they denied their demand, the leader said that the protesting farmers have only one demand-, either say 'yes' or no'.
