New Delhi: Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Friday sought one crore compensation for the family of Nikita Tomar who was shot dead in broad daylight last week in Haryana's Faridabad. The organisation has also demanded new legislation to stop 'Love Jihad' and forceful conversion.

A delegation of VHP leaders led by the central working president of VHP Alok Kumar visited the victim's family on Friday and consoled them for the loss.

"The activities of Islamo-Fascist Jihadis have endangered the civil society, freedom of expression, dignity and life of the human beings across the world. This has to be resisted by a unified response" said Alok Kumar.

VHP working president further said that increasing incidents of Love-Jihad, religious conversions and atrocities on Hindus in the area is a cause of serious concern. The government should take effective steps to stop such incidents in Haryana, particularly in Mewat region.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had visited Mewat a few months ago over increasing incidents of atrocities against Hindu community and assured them all kind of protection.

"Many incidents of Love Jihad and the missing Hindu Girls have come to light. It is now time that honourable Chief Minister implements announcements made by him a couple of months ago. The VHP will not stop before taking this struggle to its logical end. We should ensure justice to all the victims especially the young Hindu girls," said the VHP working President.

Earlier, VHP had demanded that the case should be heard in Fast track court and charge sheet to be filed within 30 days of the incident. It also requested for a day to day hearing for the speedy trial.

Haryana government has accepted the demands of the fast track court hearing and filing of charge sheet within 30 days. Alok Kumar said that VHP shall monitor the legal proceedings to ensure that our demands are fulfilled.
