Eight injured in grenade blast in Kashmir

Eight civilians suffered splinter injuries and they have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment in Pulwama district.

Pulwama (Jammu Kashmir): Eight civilians were injured after suspected militants hurled a grenade on security forces at Tral Bus stand in South Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Militants hurled a grenade on SSB at Bus Stand Tral, however it missed the target and exploded on road.

According to sources eight civilians have received splinter injuries and they have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Their condition is stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

Earlier, on January 1 militants lobbed a grenade at a camp of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Chanapora area of Srinagar city on Friday evening, but there was no damage done.

Similarly, on December 9, six civilians were injured when a grenade thrown by suspected militants missed the target in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Earlier, on November 19, 12 civilians sustained injuries in a grenade attack by militants on a team of security force personnel in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.
