Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) tweeted that keeping in mind the hardships faced by the parents and the students due to COVID-19 epidemic, it directed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to postpone NEET (UG) exams.
As a result, National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that is has postponed the ensuing NEET (UG) May 2020 scheduled to be held on the 3rd May 2020. After assessing the situation post 15th April, 2020, final date of the exam will be announced and admit cards will also be issued.
NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST is being conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/ recognized Medical/ Dental & other Colleges/ Institutes in India.
NTA was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI). NTA is an independent autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organisation for conducting efficient, transparent and international standard test in order to access the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions.
