New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday assured full support to the protesting against the three farm laws and said that the government must not think that the farmers are going back to their home.

"It is very obvious why the farmers are agitated. The government is destroying the livelihood of the farmers and labourers and will give a shock to the middle class in the coming times as the price will be skyrocketed," Rahul Gandhi said in a press conference.

"The government must not think that the farmers are going home, they won't. And this situation is going to spread. We need a conversation with the farmers and we need a solution," he added.

While speaking about the demerits of the new farm laws, the Congress leader said the first law will finish the Mandi system, the second law will benefit the the three-five businessman and they will be able to store as much grain as they want while the third law will take away the right of farmers to go to the court.

"Congress MP said I will tell the farmers that you don't move an inch. Continue your protest. We are with you," Gandhi said.

Rahul Gandhi further added that do not make the mistake of thinking that the farmers will go back.

"If the government continues to be stubborn, this agitation will spread all over the country. I have been in politics for fifteen plus years and can understand this from the present situation," he added.
