New Delhi: Struggling actress Alisha Khan on Wednesday filed a lawsuit against director Sumit Dutt in Ghaziabad, alleging that the latter had duped her of Rs 3 lakh.

Khan, in her statement, claimed that the money was linked to an advance offered for making a music album with the accused director.
A case has been registered against the director and investigation is underway, Ghaziabad SP Shlok Kumar had said.
Director Sumit Dutt duped me of Rs. 3 lakh claims Alisha Khan Khan claimed that she had paid the amount as 'token money' to launch her new album and the deal was signed in Ghaziabad itself.
Police further stated that Khan could not manage to arrange the pending amount for the production (of music album), as she was unable to secure big projects.
"Khan registered a complaint against the director in Ghaziabad city Kotwali, after the deal was cancelled and the advance money was refused to her. Appropriate action will be taken after the investigation," maintained the police officals.

Khan, who had settled in Ghaziabad, is a descendant of Ghaziuddin. She has been in the limelight due to her high voltage drama and poor family relations.
She had been battling financial crisis due to lack of projects, as her career took a nosedive. She has done few movies, including one with Bollywood actor Emran Hashmi - 'Aaina'.
Currently, the actress is looking for a big break and has been involved in several small assignments in Mumbai, to earn a living.
