New Delhi:Amid raging anti-CAA protests, the Congress took out marches across the country on its 135th foundation day on Saturday to take its "Save Constitution-Save India" message to the people.
Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi hoisted the tricolour at party office on 135th Congress Foundation day. Rahul Gandhi, Dr.Manmohan Singh, Motilal Vora, AK Antony, JP Aggarwal and other senior leaders were also present during the event.
In this context, when ETV Bharat approached Former Delhi Congress president JP Aggarwal he said that CAA is destroying constitution and we along with common people are opposing it.
He said, "India got Independence in 1947 during Congress regime and BJP is questioning us. They (BJP) are dividing the nation in the name of caste, creed, religion, which is unacceptable."
When asked about the remark made by Former Air Force chief BS Dhanoa stating that the then government (Congress) had rejected the plan to hit terror camps in Pakistan after the 2001 Parliament and 2008 Mumbai attacks, Aggarwal said that the military should be kept out of politics and should not interfere in political matters.
