Deoghar: 12 cyber criminals arrested

Deoghar SP Ashiwini Kumar Sinha, who is heading the operation against the cyber criminals, had constituted two police teams to nab the culprits from different parts of the district.

Deoghar: Police have arrested 12 cybercriminals from different police stations' areas in the district, official sources said.

Deoghar SP Ashiwini Kumar Sinha, who is heading the operation against the cybercriminals, had constituted two police teams to nab the culprits from different parts of the district.

He told the media that 41 mobile phones, 52 sim cards, 7 bank passbooks, 15 ATM cards, 2 motorcycles and two cars have also been recovered from their possession.

The police officer said that the criminals used to call people as bank officials to obtain information about their bank accounts.

As many as 105 cybercriminals have been arrested and sent to jail during the past one and a half months.
