Delhi tests 162 journalists; all negative

Delhi government tested 162 journalists for COVID-19 and all have tested negative for the infection.

New Delhi:The Delhi government has conducted Coronavirus tests on at least 162 journalists here and all have tested negative for the infection.

"We have conducted a COVID test of 162 journalists, including the video journalists and photographers. All the reports are negative," the government said in a statement on Friday.

On April 21, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that his government had set up a centre where free COVID-19 tests will be conducted on media persons.

"Journalists are also at the frontline in the battle against COVID-19," Kejriwal said.

This came days after a few journalists were tested positive in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
