Hyderabad (Telangana): Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia that Delhi Metro services are expected to resume services from June. Metro is a lifeline of Delhi as local trains are for Mumbai.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia told ETV Bharat, "Metro services may resume from June 1. We are in constant talks with the Central Government. Earlier, Government had stated that metro services will not commence. We will decide as per the guidelines of the Central Government."
Delhi Metro services likely to resume from June, says Deputy CM Sisodia The rapid transit system of Delhi Metro which ferries lakhs of passengers daily, connecting major cities like Gurugram and Noida has become a part and parcel of the life of the national capital.
In view of the coronavirus-induced lockdown, metro services in the national capital have been suspended since March 22 when the Janta curfew was observed. Delhi Metro staff are making pre-arrangements for thermal scanners to test the temperature of passengers and to ensure that social distancing will be maintained.
