New Delhi: More than 100 teams of the Uttar Pradesh police have launched a massive manhunt to nab wanted history-sheeter Vikas Dubey who has been absconding for over five days since the raid in Kanpur which resulted in the death of eight police personnel.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Arun Gupta, an advocate practising in the Delhi high court, dwelled on legal remedies that Vikas Dubey can exercise.
He said that everyone is equal before the law so apart from surrendering, Dubey also has an option to file a petition for anticipatory bail.
"The best place to surrender for Dubey would be Delhi, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh as there are no complaints filed against him in these states. Amid pandemic, courts across the country are not functioning properly and magistrates are working from home so Dubey has the option to surrender at magistrate's house too," said Gupta.
