New Delhi: Delhi Assembly on Thursday passed a resolution against farm laws and urged the Centre to take back the farm laws.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tore the copy of Centre's farm laws in the state Legislative Assembly. Kejriwal was addressing a special session of Delhi Assembly called to discuss farmers' agitation. CM appealed to the govt to take back the farm laws.
Earlier, two AAP MLAs Somnath Bharti and Mahendra Goyal also tore a copy of Centre's farm laws. The leaders said that they refuse to accept these black laws which are against the farmers.
After Punjab and Rajasthan, Delhi has become the third state to pass a resolution against farm laws. Thousands of farmers are camped around Delhi and its adjoining borders protesting against the farm laws.
"I want to ask Centre how many sacrifices farmers will have to make, to get their voices heard," Kejriwal said.
"Delhi Assembly today rejected all 3 Farm laws & have appealed Central govt that it should take back these black laws. More than 20 farmers have died during 20 days of protest. On average, one farmer is getting martyred daily in this movement," the CM said.
