Basirhat(West Bengal):Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Tuesday alleged that six of them were injured after TMC supporters attacked them for complaining to police regarding cut-money.

"TMC workers barged into our houses and attacked us. Besides this, they have threatened us, when we told them that we will inform the police," a BJP supporter had said.

He further stated: "They have threatened us by saying that they will return soon after the police force will leave from our house."

"Since we have filed the complaint regarding the issue of cut-money, they are targeting us," he added.

However, TMC has denied all the charges.

On the other hand, BJP MP from Hooghly Locket Chatterjee accused that the ruling-TMC leaders are taking cut-money from people.

Meanwhile, the cut-money issue has become a raging issue in the state in the last few days after the Chief Minister reportedly issued a diktat asking the party leaders to return the cut money they had taken from people.
