COVID-19: Youths in Kodagu form collective, voluntarily sanitize roads

The youth of Kodagu formed a WhatsApp group to form a collective and sanitize different areas of their village to contain the spread of coronavirus. They have also made it mandatory for vegetable vendors to wear a mask and ensure hygiene at the market place.

Kodagu(Karnataka): The youths of the Chayyankote village of Virajpet taluk in Karnataka have voluntarily sanitized the roads of their village to contain the Spread of the COVID-19 infection.

As a precautionary measure to prevent coronavirus, the youths have formed a WhatsApp group to collect the money for sanitizing equipment and came together to sanitize different areas of their village.

The villagers have appreciated their work. The collective has also installed a notice board at the entrance of the village. It states that mask and sanitizer is mandatory for everyone to enter the village. The youth collective also provides sanitizer at the entrance of the village.

They have also made it mandatory for vegetable vendors to wear a mask and ensure hygiene at the market place.
