As Coronavirus has been notified as a National Disaster by the Government of India. This global pandemic has created one of the biggest humanitarian and economic challenges of our lifetimes.

The PhonePe #i4India movement is our humble way of showing our support to the superhuman effort of our government bodies, doctors, healthcare providers and all other emergency service providers who are working 24/7 through the lockdown to keep all of us safe & healthy, the company said.

PhonePe Mission: To convince ten crore (10,00,00,000) fellow Indians to contribute (any amount!) to the PMCARES Fund by April 30, 2020 (‘Pledge Window’).

PhonePe Pledge: PhonePe will donate ₹10 to the PMCARES Fund for every unique Indian who makes a donation to the PMCARES Fund via the Phonepe App using UPI during the Pledge Window. We are pledging a maximum contribution of up to Rs. One Hundred Crores to the PMCARES Fund.

PhonePeAppeal: Please join us in making this the largest human philanthropic campaign ever in history. No donation is too small or large. It is the gesture that counts. How The PhonePe #i4India movement works:-

  • Donations can be made using UPI payment method to the PMCARES Fund directly from the PhonePe app. PhonePe will NOT touch your donation money. Your donations will be transferred directly from your bank account to the PMCARES Fund bank account.
  • As per the PMCARES Fund rules, individuals can donate a minimum of ₹1 at a time.
  • The PMCARES Fund allows individuals to donate up to ₹1,00,000 per transaction. However, the user’s bank may apply a lower limit for UPI transactions.
  • Yes, all donations to the PMCARES Fund are eligible for a 100% tax deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Please note, there is no limit to the tax deductions for donations made to the PMCARES Fund. The entire donation amount will be tax exempted. Donors are advised to send an email to pmnrf@gov.in with the UTR number and the bank account number from which they made the donation along with the address of the donor.
