Hyderabad: Today is the 153rd day since India implemented a nationwide lockdown, to help curb the novel coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, Serum Institute of India (SSI), which has entered a manufacturing partnership with AstraZeneca to produce Oxford University’s Covid-19 vaccine candidate, has issued a clarification, denying reports that the shot may be launched in 73 days as “completely false and conjectural”. Students from across the country have demanded that CBSE compartment exams be cancelled and entrance exams such as UGC-NET, CLAT, NEET and JEE be postponed in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases. Over 4,200 students participated in a day-long hunger strike demanding the cancellation and postponement of exams.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said,"I am happy that with the help of everyone, the COVID19 situation in the national capital is under control now. The way Delhi has been dealing with COVID-19 situation is being discussed in the country as well as across the world."
"We have requested Centre to allow re-opening of Delhi Metro in a phased manner, on a trial basis, as COVID19 situation in Delhi is under control now. I hope the Centre will take a decision soon," said Kejriwal
As the death toll is increasing day by day in the national capital, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Sunday said that the government is trying to reduce the death rate and the COVID situation in Delhi is better now.
Speaking to media persons here, Jain said, "The infection rate, which was once around 35 per cent in June, has now come down to 7 per cent. But the cases of death due to coronavirus are still worrying. Although these figures are lower than in June, still 10-20 people are dying every day.
