Hyderabad: Serum Institute of India (SII) on Friday said it has entered into a new partnership with international vaccine alliance Gavi and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to accelerate manufacturing and delivery of up to 100 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines for India as well as other low and middle-income countries (LMICs). Meanwhile, India's Covid-19 tally crossed the two million mark to stand at 2,027,074 while fatalities were recorded at 41,585 on Friday, data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare revealed.

New Delhi: Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain told media persons on Friday that when AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria said that plasma therapy on COVID-19 patients did not show much clinical benefit in reducing fatality risk caused due to the virus, he did not mean plasma therapy was ineffective.

Lucknow: An Uttar Pradesh Police inspector who tested negative for the COVID-19 virus twice in eight days died at a Lucknow hospital on Wednesday, a few days after he was admitted and a third test revealed him to be coronavirus-positive.
Inspector Indrajeet Singh Bhadauriya, 47, was a native of UP's Unnao district who joined the police force as a Constable in 1989.
