Delhi manages to reduce COVID positive cases

New Delhi:Despite an unprecedented rise in coronavirus cases, the COVID-19 active cases rate in Delhi are getting reduced.

According to the Delhi Health Department, there has been a huge down in active cases of Corona in the first 9 days of July.

On July 1, where there were 27,007 active cases in Delhi, on July 9 it has reduced to 21,567. Accordingly, from July 1 to July 9, a total of 5440 active cases have been decreased in Delhi.

During this period, the number of active cases have decreased the fastest in the last two days.

The focus of the Delhi Government was on ensuring that the patients who had mild symptoms could recover at home, so that hospital facilities remained available for serious and critical patients.

Karnataka CM Yediyurappa quarantines self after home office staff test +ve for COVID 19

Bengaluru:Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Friday quarantined himself after a few staffers posted at his official residence ‘Krishna’ tested positive for Covid-19.

Yediyurappa clarified that he is healthy and will work from his personal residence in Bengaluru for the next few days.

While speaking to Ministers and Legislatures through the video conference, Yediyurappa insisted on the rules and regulations to prevent the corona and also he requested the people to maintain social distancing and to wear mask compulsory.

Surat diamond trader kills self after testing COVID-19 positive

Surat: A day after testing positive for coronavirus, a diamond trader in Gujarat''s Surat city allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train on Friday.

Kumarpal Shah (63), a resident of Nanpura, was disturbed and stressed after his swab reports came out positive for the infection on Thursday.

Investigations revealed that Shah had jumped in front of a moving train and died on the spot.

A suicide note was also recovered from the deceased's person, in which he has stated that he was disturbed and under a lot of stress ever since he found out that he had contracted COVID-19.

Surat jewellery shop sells diamond-studded face mask

A jewellery shop in Surat is garnering widespread attention for manufacturing diamond-studded face masks. The masks have been manufactured by diamond traders as an accessory which can be worn at formal occasions like marriage ceremonies.

The diamond-studded mask made from cloth as per the guidelines issued to prevent coronavirus infection is estimated to cost between Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh.

Nonagenarian woman recovers from Covid-19 in Jharkhand

Sahibganj: A 99-year-old woman, the oldest person affected by the Covid-19 in Jharkhand so far, has recovered from the disease. The patient, Draupadi Devi of Jharkhand's Sahibganj was infected and admitted for treatment at COVID 19 Hospital Rajmahal Subdivision Hospital. Doctors are also surprised when the investigation report came negative. The doctor said that the elderly woman has got the benefit of not having hypertension, diabetes and other diseases.

Odisha registers highest single-day COVID recoveries

Bhubaneswar:Odisha recorded its highest single-day COVID recoveries as 565 COVID patients recovered from the disease on Friday, a day when the state also reported the biggest spike in COVID cases. With this, the number of recovered cases in Odisha surged to 7972.
