Hyderabad:According to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, India recorded the highest single-day spike of 19,906 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours with 410 deaths. Positive cases in India stand at 5,28,859 including 2,03,051 active cases, 3,09,712 cured/discharged/migrated and 16,095 deaths.
Delhi
The number of COVID-19 containment zones in Delhi has risen to 417 after re-mapping of such areas, while around 2.45 lakh people have been screened in a mammoth exercise to check the spread of COVID-19 in the national capital.
The count of containment zones is expected to jump further as the authorities in some districts were yet to complete the task of redrawing such areas following the centre's directions. Before the re-mapping exercise, the number of containment zones was 280 in the city.
Maharashtra
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said the lockdown curbs in the state will continue beyond June 30. Thackeray said there will be some restrictions in the state but more relaxations will be offered gradually.
Maharashtra has recorded the highest single-day spike in the number of coronavirus cases and fatalities with 5,493 fresh infections and over 156 deaths today. The worst-hit state in the country has reported 1,64,626 coronavirus cases.
Rajasthan
Dholpur district in the state has been reporting a spike in COVID-19 positive cases. According to reports, about dozen prisoners in the district jail are found to be COVID-19 positive. Over 70 samples were collected three days ago by the prison administration. Total of 20 positive cases have been reported from the prison so far.
Madhya Pradesh
