Hyderabad:With an increase of 14,933 new cases and 312 deaths in the last 24 hours, India's COVID-19 count reached 4,40,215 on Tuesday. According to the latest update by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), 14,011 deaths have been recorded due to the infection so far in the country.
Maharashtra
The Shiv Sena Bhavan located in Mumbai was sealed today after a senior party worker tested positive. According to reports, the building will be sealed for eight days. All senior party leaders visited the Bhavan four days ago.
Meanwhile, Mumbai health department will take assistance from police to find out 70 missing COVID-19 patients in the city.
New Delhi
Even when the Centre and the state government ramp up testing and other COVID-19 containment measures, it was revealed from the June 22 health bulletin that only 14,682 samples were tested in last 24 hours in contrast to 18,000 tests per day.
Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister had informed that testing has been increased by three times in the city and now 18,000 tests are being done per day in the national capital.
Rajasthan
Banswara, a district in southern Rajasthan, has achieved a new benchmark, in terms of COVID-19 recovery, as the recovery rate hit 100% after two infected people were discharged on Tuesday. A total of 92 people were found positive so far in the district, out of which two have died and others made speedy recovery.
Karnataka
In the wake of rising cases in the state capital, Bengaluru, four police stations have been sealed on Tuesday. According to reports, a head constable working at Halsoor Gate station tested positive and after contact tracing more officials are being put under quarantine.
Banaswadi police station area was also sealed off after a person accused of mobile theft tested positive, after being placed under arrest in the station limits. Meanwhile, the Puttenahalli Police Station is also sealed down similarly after an accused tested positive.
Chhattisgarh
After Congress MLA from Rajnandgaon district in Chhattisgarh tested positive for novel coronavirus, the state assembly and secretariat building will remain shut form 24-28 June.
