Hyderabad:The total number of active cases of COVID-19 in the nation is 3,59,506 and number of discharged cases is 1,86,934. Meanwhile, 11,903 deaths have been recorded.

Delhi

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has tested positive for coronavirus.

He was admitted to a hospital on Tuesday due to high-grade fever and underwent a novel coronavirus test on Tuesday morning. He was tested again on Wednesday.

Jain is currently admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital due to high fever and difficulty in breathing.

Meanwhile, after the meeting with the Delhi government and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, It was decided that the District Magistrates will take every decision related to corona in the districts of Delhi.

Kerala

The Kerala cabinet made COVID-19 negative certificate mandatory for Non-Resident Keralites (NRK)s who wish to return to Kerala. This move is to reduce the risk of spread among flight passengers and cabin crews as they were forced to fly with untested passengers and stand the chance of getting infected.

Karnataka

The first patient to be successfully cured of COVID-19 infection through plasma therapy returned home on Wednesday after being discharged from the designated COVID hospital, Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).

Minister for Large and Medium Industries and district-in-charge Jagdish Shettar along with KIMS Director Ramalingappa Antarani and Medical Superintendent Arunkumar Chavan wished the patient, a 65-year old truck driver (P 2170), with a bouquet before he returned home in an ambulance.

Whereas, the COVID-19 death toll breached the 100 mark as the state on Wednesday reported eight new fatalities and 204 cases, taking the total number of infections to 7,734.

The day also saw 348 patients getting discharged, taking the total recoveries to 4,804, the health department said in its bulletin.

Out of 204 new cases, as many as 106 are returnees from other states, the majority of them from neighboring Maharashtra, while two had come from foreign countries.

A total of 7,531 samples were tested on Wednesday taking the total so far to 4,64,798 and 6,794 reported negative as the cumulative tally rose to 4,46,448.

Maharashtra

As many as 7 security guards died because of coronavirus in Mumbai till Wednesday. BMC has 1500 guards and 114 are infected with the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, CM Uddhav Thackeray e-inaugurated a 10-floor COVID dedicated hospital with 1024 beds in Pune.

Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami's private secretary B J Damodharan died today due to COVID-19.

Damodharan tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital in Chennai for treatment.

Condoling the death, Palaniswami expressed his grief to the bereaved family. Palaniswami also said a government job will be given to a family member of the deceased.

Rajasthan

Rajasthan’s Kota district was in COVID-19 'red' zone for two and half months but now the local administration turned the tide in their favour and has turned Kota into an 'orange' zone by using a three-layer tracking system. The district is left with only one active case now. Not a single case was reported from the district on Wednesday. On Tuesday, 19 patients were discharged from a COVID-19 dedicated hospital, of which 16 were from Kota.

Uttar Pradesh

As many as five more ITBP jawans of 18th Battalion were found positive in Prayagraj. The Battalion was earlier deployed in Delhi and shifted to Prayagraj on June 9. Following this, the total number of cases reached 9 in the Battalion.

The number of coronavirus disease cases in Uttar Pradesh reached 14,724 on Wednesday. Agra reported three deaths and 18 new cases reported till Wednesday morning taking the total death toll to 545.

Uttarakhand

Forty-three new corona positive cases were found in the state on Wednesday. With this figure, the state's corona positive statistics rose to 1985 so far.

As per the government's data, 1230 patients have been cured and 755 active corona positive patients are under treatment. So far 25 corona positive patients have died in the state.

Odisha

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that COVID Care Home Facility will be set up in every Gram Panchayat which will accommodate 10 to 20 persons at a time.

The Odisha chief minister stressed on the need for decentralization of COVID-19 management and community awareness activities.

In a message to the people, Patnaik said that to fight the dreaded coronavirus the COVID Care Home Facility will be set up in every Gram Panchayat.

These homes will accommodate 10 to 20 persons at a time. In this way, nearly 70000 people could be kept in facilities in rural areas.

Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh reported 10 new positive cases - including four from Una district, three from Chamba district, two from Solan district and one from Kangra district on Wednesday.

In the state, four positive patients, including three from Chamba and one from Mandi, have also recovered.

The state has now a total of 570 positive cases of which 186 cases are active, while 11 cases have migrated out of state and 365 have recovered and six have died.

Madhya Pradesh

The entry of outsiders in the Madhya Pradesh ministry has been banned after the corona report of the employee of the Attachment Consultancy in the Department of Energy came positive.

The General Administration Department has issued an order in this regard. Three employees have been found positive here so far. One of these employees has also died of the COVID-19. The coronavirus in Bhopal is spreading among employees working in government offices.

Bihar

With thousands and thousands of migrants are returning back every day to their home districts in Bihar from all over the country, the State government has decided to start the random testing at crowded places including malls, haats, vegetable markets, fish markets and rural markets so that corona infection can be detected.

Gujarat

Gujarat minister Ishwarsinh Patel had to pay a penalty of Rs 200 on Wednesday for not wearing a mask while entering the premises of the Chief Minister's office in Gandhinagar ahead of a cabinet meeting.

Wearing a mask outside the home has been made mandatory by the government in an effort to contain the spread of coronavirus which has claimed 1,534 lives in the state so far.

All other ministers who arrived for the cabinet meet were seen wearing masks. Patel holds independent charge of sports, youth and cultural activities along with the cooperation portfolio.

After the lapse was pointed out by news channels, the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation slapped a penalty of Rs 200 on him.

Jharkhand

A 25-year-old woman died of COVID- 19 on Wednesday, raising the toll of coronavirus fatalities in the state to ten, while 30 more people tested positive. She was admitted to the COVID ward of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

A total of 1,793 people have so far tested positive for the disease in Jharkhand, of which 784 are active cases, it said, adding 1,000 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
