Shimla (Himachal Pradesh):India is witnessing a surge in the number of positive cases of coronavirus, most of which are related to Tablighi Jamaat in one or the other way.
In Himachal Pradesh, the total positive cases has reached 27. Of which 21 are being treated in Himachal and all of them are 'Jamati'.
It is being alleged that people associated with or coming in contact with the Tablighi Jamaat are not sharing their information with the administration. After which the Chief Minister and DGP of Himachal Pradesh spoke of strict action against those who do not share full information.
In this connection, various Muslim officials of Himachal have appealed to the people belonging to the Tablighi Jamaat to come forward and share their information without fear.
IAS officer Yunus Ahmad said that "I appeal to the Muslim brothers to share the details of their journey with the administration as responsible citizens. The number of cases is increasing, so follow the orders of the government". He also appealed Muslims not to go to the mosque to offer Namaz and offer it at home.
IPS officer, Asif Jalal in this connection said that a message is going on in the society that people who have joined the Tablighi Jamaat are hiding their information. He said that those people have not committed any sin by attending the religious congregation. However, it is their responsibility to share information about their travel. If these people do not share their information then they will be responsible if the infection spreads in their family or in the neighbourhood. It will also be a crime if they are hiding the information knowingly.
Dr Saad Rizvi said that there is a danger of coronavirus on the whole of humanity, which will have to be fought unitedly to get rid of it.
Everyone has to understand their responsibility in this regard. If you have visited Markaz or come in contact with them, then come forward so that the administration can quarantine you and them as well. Those who do not do so will be irresponsible. Even the holy Quran mentions that anything that threatens the life of an individual should be avoided. The place where any disease spreads should be closed, neither should anyone go there nor should anyone come from there. So be responsible, come forward save yourself and your family and society too.
