MoHFW informs India registers 65,081 recoveries in last 24 hours, recovery rate at 77%
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) informed that India registered 65,081 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative number of recovered patients to 28,39,882 and the recovery rate among COVID-19 patients to further high of 77 per cent.
The number of recovered patients has overtaken the active cases by 3.61 times, the Ministry said.
Meanwhile, India's COVID-19 case tally has reached 36,91,167 including 7,85,996 active cases, 28,39,883 cured/discharged/migrated and 65,288 deaths.

78 fresh cases push Arunachal's COVID-19 tally to 4,112
Itanagar: Seventy-eight more people, including 18 security personnel, have tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the state's caseload to
4,112 on Tuesday, a senior health official said.
The Capital Complex region reported the highest number of fresh infections at 22, followed by West Kameng district (nine), Changlang (eight) and Tawang (seven), he said, adding new cases were registered in 13 other districts.
"Thirteen paramilitary personnel, three Army jawans and two policemen, besides seven employees of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), are among the new patients," State Surveillance Officer, Dr L Jampa, said.

12 more succumb to COVID-19 in Pondy, 363 fresh cases reported
Puducherry: Puducherry on Tuesday registered 12 deaths, including two women, due to COVID-19, pushing up the toll in the union territory to 240.
Director of Health and Family Welfare S Mohan Kumar said in a release that eight men and two women patients died of the viral infection in hospitals in Puducherry and Yanam regions.
With 363 new cases being reported at the end of examination of 1,323 samples, the overall coronavirus hit patients were 14,766 after transferring eight cases to Tamil Nadu, the Director said.
He said 341 patients recovered and were discharged during the last 24 hours.

Tripura government launches COVID-19 testing drive in Agartala
Agartala:The Tripura government has launched a special COVID-19 testing drive at various municipal wards in Agartala as the COVID-19 random testing Positivity Rate in the state capital reached 21 per cent.
A per Dr Debashish Das, Chief Medical Officer of the West Tripura district, compared to the month of March and April, the coronavirus was spreading very fast in Tripura, and out of the total positive cases, two-thirds are from the West Tripura district with a majority from the Agartala Municipal area.

2,734 new coronavirus cases in Telangana; 9 more deaths
Hyderabad: Telangana posted 2,734 new COVID-19 cases and 9 related fatalities, taking the tally of those infected by the virus in the state to 1.27 lakh.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 347, followed by Rangareddy 212, Nalgonda 191, Khammam 161 and Medchal Malkajgiri 121 districts, a government bulletin said on Tuesday, providing data as of 8 pm on August 31.
As many as 58,264 samples were tested on August 31.
Cumulatively, 14.23 lakh samples have been tested till date. The samples tested per million population was 38,351, the bulletin said.
With nine more deaths, the toll rose to 836.

COVID-19 LIVE: India's tally climbs to 36,91,166
New Delhi: With 69,921 people testing positive for coronavirus infection, India'sCOVID-19 tally mounted to36,91,166, while recoveries surged to 28,39,882 on Tuesday pushing the recovery rate to 76.94 per cent, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
The death toll climbed to 65,288 with819 new fatalities being reported in a span of24 hours, the data updated at 8 am showed.
The COVID-19 case fatality rate has further declined to 1.77 per cent.

There are 7,85,996 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which comprises 21.29 per cent of the total caseload, the data stated.
India's COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7 and went past 30 lakh on August 23.
According to the ICMR, a cumulative total of 4,33,24,834 samples have been tested up to August 31 with 10,16,920 samples being tested on Monday.
