New Delhi: In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind on Friday urged the Muslim community to offer Namaz at home instead of congregating in mosques.
Prominent Muslim body Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani said, "All Muslims should pray in their own homes as they did last week."
"I also appeal the citizens to follow the instructions of Health Ministry and other orders by the Centre to defeat coronavirus completely," he added.
Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, chief Imam of All India Imam Organisation also appealed to the Muslim community to maintain social distancing and offer prayers in their homes till the lockdown ends.
