He further said that Manipur was a princely state when India got independence. "In 1949 only Manipur was merged with Union of India...if government pass the controversial CAB, we will be the worst sufferers," said the former Chief Minister of Manipur.
Referring to the Naga peace accord, Singh demanded that Government should come clear on contents of the accord.
He said that to appease one party (NSCN) government can't play with the territorial integrity of another.

It is to be noted that Northeast has been witnessing agitation for last few weeks over the Naga peace accord.
