In a counter attack to the BJP's allegations, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala hits out three questions before the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, "How did Yes Bank sink? Who is responsible for letting the Yes Bank sink and people's earnings go down the drain? Was Modi Government sleeping on the wheel or was it complicit in a deliberate sinking of the Yes Bank?"

While defending Priyanka Gandhi, Surjewala said that the painting, for which the controversy has started, was made by MF Hussain which she received as an inheritance from her father Rajiv Gandhi, and was sold to Yes Bank's owner Rana Kapoor for Rs 2 crore, 10 years ago and she also disclosed the entire amount in her income tax return of 2010.

Surjewala said, "The question is that how did the loan book of Yes Bank, the loan it give out rose from ₹ 55,000 crore to ₹ 2,42,000 crore from March 2014 to March 2019? Why get the loan book price by 100% in 2 years after demonetisation, that is from ₹98,210 crore in March 2016 to ₹2,03,534 crore in March 2018?"

He further said, "The question is how did the bogus loans given by Yes Bank close to 334% in 5 years of Modi government. The question is what is the relationship between PM Modi and the BJP with the owners of Yes Bank?"
