Congress raises objection over 'father of the nation' remark by US Prez

The Indian National Congress has raised an objection over the remark by U.S President Donald Trump addressing Narendra Modi as the father of the nation and said that Indians are intelligent to know who is the father of the nation.

New Delhi: The National spokesperson of Congress Rajiv Tyagi raising an objection to address of Narendra Modi as the 'father of the nation' by US President Donald Trump said that Indians are intelligent and have enough knowledge to know who is the father of the nation.

No foreigner can tell us about our father of the nation. Only a non-violent person who believes in non-violence and Ahimsa can be the father of the nation.

US President Donald Trump, in praise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressed him as 'father of India'.

While praising Modi, Donald Trump had said that ever since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, he has tied India in one thread. Narendra Modi's behaviour is like a father in the country.

The Congress has objected to President Trump's statement and said that Indians know who is the father of the nation.
