New Delhi: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh has said that party has revived after Jyotiraditya Scindia left Congress.
"People used to say that with the going away of Jyotiraditya Scindia, Congress party will be finished in Gwalior-Chambal division. I say that Congress has revived after he left," Scindia said during a press conference here.
"I had never expected that Jyotiraditya Scindia - whom Congress party gave everything, who was one of those closest to Rahul, Priyanka and Sonia Gandhi, who was a member of the Congress Working Committee - will leave the party and go away," Singh added.

Former Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had on March 11 joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), after he ended his 18-years-old association with the Congress party. Last month, he was elected to Rajya Sabha.

The leadership crisis in the Congress party seems to be taking a massive form. The arguments on both the sides have exposed a sharp divide between the loyalists and those wanting 'overhaul of the organisational structure and changes in the leadership'.
The Congress Working Committee (CWC) meet is scheduled to take place today and Sonia Gandhi is likely to step down as party chief. Gandhi has conveyed to the party that she is not ready to continue as 'interim president' any longer. Her move comes in the wake of a strong letter of dissent from a group of prominent Congress members which demands an overhaul of the organisational structure and change in the leadership. Voices for a leadership change have grown louder ever since Sonia Gandhi's tenure as interim party president ended two weeks back.
