New Delhi:Congress party approached the Election Commission, on Wednesday, to appeal the poll body for seeking directions against organizing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's election rally in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh.
The party also alleged PMO for misusing government machinery for poll purposes in General Elections.
While addressing the media, Congress senior leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi explained, "PM Modi has organized a rally on May 6 in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. The Damoh Parliamentary Constituency of Madhya Pradesh shall be going to polls on the same day. To put things in perspective the PM is conducting his election rally seeking votes in between 11 AM to 6 PM. The voting will be conducted merely 10 km away from the site of the rally in the same district."
Three Tehsils and Vidhan Sabha Constituencies of Sagar District, that is Banda, Rehli and Deori are a part of the Damoh Parliamentary Constituency.
