New Delhi:Congress on Tuesday demanded to scrap the electoral bond scheme alleging that the BJP government is proposing for this scheme which is "nothing but a manner to legitimise bribery and institutionalise a quid-pro-quo system where corporate donors give large amounts of donation to BJP and receive favours in return."
The Congress also alleged the BJP government of bulldozing objections raised by Election Commission of India (ECI).
While addressing a press conference, Congress spokesperson Gaurav Gogoi said, "Election Commission has raised several objections to the scheme which BJP had bulldozed and has left no stone unturned to even cover-up their checks and errors in the Parliament."
"They are willfully and deliberately misleading the Parliament as well as the people of this country", said Gogoi.
