Nahan (Himachal Pradesh): Amid the nationwide lockdown these days, every section of the society is playing its role and helping each other in fight against coronavirus.
During the lockdown and curfew in Himachal, the biggest problem faced by the people was to provide food to poor and migrant labourers. In such a situation, many people of the society came forward and extended their helping hand to these poor people.
In Nahan, Himachal Pradesh, some young businessmen, sportsmen and councilors are running a community kitchen together from where food is delivered to about 1,000 families every day.
As due to the lockdown all hotels, dhabas schools and colleges were closed, many migrant workers and students from outside the state got stuck in Nahan.
For such needy people, some businessmen, sportsmen, councilors, youth of the city jointly took an initiative of establishing a community kitchen where food is being prepared with utmost care and then it is boxed and parceled and then delivered to the homes of the needy.
