Citizenship Act, NRC are against poor, they will be most affected: Priyanka Gandhi

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joined a protest at India Gate and said that the Citizenship Act and NRC are against the poor. She also said demonstrations should be held peacefully as in a democracy everyone has the right to protest.

New Delhi: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joined a protest at India Gate in New Delhi.

While talking about Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 and NRC, Gandhi said that the Citizenship Act and NRC are against the poor.

"The poor will be most affected by it. What will the daily wage labourers do?" said Gandhi.

Gandhi also said that she had come to show solidarity with the protesters. She also said demonstrations should be held peacefully as in a democracy everyone has the right to protest.
