New Delhi: The Delhi High Court (HC) was informed on Friday that former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, lodged in Tihar jail in the INX Media money laundering case, is fine and does not require hospitalisation.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta read out the report of AIIMS Medical Board, set up on the court's order to examine Chidambaram's health condition, and said the Congress leader does not require a sterile environment.
Earlier on October 29, it has come to light that Chidambaram has been suffering from the chronic Crohn's disease and needs immediate specialised treatment at a super speciality hospital.
Earlier on October 31, the Court had directed AIIMS to constitute a medical board by the evening to assess the Chidambaram's health and submit a report on Friday.
