Korba (Chhattisgarh):Seven new positive cases of coronavirus were reported from Chhattisgarh's Korba district on Saturday night in addition to the eight cases reported from the district earlier in the day, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases from the state to 25.
Among the total people infected as on date, 9 have recovered and none have passed away.
On April 9 Chhattisgarh government had clamped a complete lockdown in Korba’s Katghora after eight residents were tested positive in 24 hours and the town was treated as a hot-spot for the coronavirus infection.
After interrogation, it was ascertained that all eight patients had come in contact with the 16 persons of Tablighi Jamaat - one of them was tested positive a few days ago and is under treatment at AIIMS - Raipur. The group of 16 had returned from Maharashtra in mid-March and were under self-quarantine at a mosque in Katghora.

Katghora has a population of over 2,000 Muslims and many of them are suspected to have come in contact with the Mosque and its residents. The contact tracing procedure is underway.
