Former Chhattisgarh CM Ajit Jogi suffers third cardiac arrest, condition critical

Former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi suffered a cardiac arrest for the third time on Friday and his condition is said to be critical.

Raipur: Former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi suffered a third cardiac arrest on Friday following which his health deteriorated further. As per the information, 74-year-old Jogi had slipped into coma on May 9 back after his health declined.

Doctors attending Jogi said that his condition is critical and his blood pressure is fluctuating. Jogi had suffered a second cardiac arrest on Wednesday night. However, doctors observed a minor improvement in his health and was monitoring his situation constantly.

It is to be noted that the politician had suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this month and was put on ventilator support.

Jogi was admitted to Shree Narayana Hospital on May 9. A bureaucrat-turned politician is currently the MLA from Marwahi and had served as the state's first CM between 2000-03 in then Congress Government.
