New Delhi: Former Bihar MLA and BJP leader Rameshwar Chaurasiya on Tuesday met Minister of State for Home (MoS) G Kishan Reddy here and urged him to order a CBI inquiry into the alleged suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14.

Chaurasiya said that there should be clarity on the issue. It should be found out how and why the actor died.

The BJP leader, who has been in constant touch with the family of the late actor in Patna, said that people of Bihar and India want to know if someone forced him to take the extreme step.

The meeting between the two leaders lasted for 25 minutes. Chaurasiya also handed over a letter in this regard to the minister.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Police have been recording statements of Rajpaut's fellow actors and people that he worked with earlier. Many actors and other artists from the Hindi film industry, popularly known as Bollywood, have come out in support of the late actor with several suggesting that he was forced to commit suicide.
