'Centre is keeping close watch in Jammu and Kashmir'

New Delhi:The Narendra Modi Government is keeping a close watch over all developments in Jammu and Kasmir post abrogation of Article 370 that provided special status to the region.

National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval is constantly monitoring the situation there, official sources told the ETV Bharat.

They said Doval would discuss everything related to law and order and overall security situation with the officials. According to the sources, he is understood to have discussed the reported attempts made by Pakistani terrorists to sneak into India.

Doval's three key men, including Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, Adviser to Governor K Vijay Kumar and DGP Dilbag Singh, gave him the ground report, they added.Doval, they said, asked them to ensure round-the-clock patrolling and maintain close vigil in the sensitive areas of Jammu and Kashmir.These officials have been implementing government orders there ever since Article 370 was abrogated.Subrahmanyam works closely with the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
