New Delhi:Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her first General Budget in the Parliament on Friday. The Modi government has tried to give something to every region in this first budget of its second term.

Let's know what is special for the Rural Development sector in this budget:

  • More than 5.6 lakh villages have become open defecation free
  • 'PM Grammen Digital Saksharatha Abhiyan'-Over 2 crore rural Indians were made digitally literate
  • 9.6 crore toilets have been constructed under Swachh Bharat, since Oct 2, 2014
