Body of Yogi Adityanath's father reaches Uttarakhand

Lucknow(Uttar Pradesh): Body of Yogi Adityanath's father reached Uttarakhand via Ghaziabad Meerut Road where his last rites will be performed.

Police personnel have been deployed in the area and security has been beefed up. 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth's father Anand Singh Bisht passed away on Monday morning. However, CM Yogi will not participate in the last rites of his father due to lockdown.

Suffering from liver ailment, Bisht was put on life support at All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. Reportedly, he was in a critical condition and was monitored by senior doctors of the gastroenterology department. 

A native of Yamkeshwar village, Anand Singh Bisht retired as a forest ranger in 1991.

Taking it to Twitter,  State Additional Chief Secretary Awanish K Awasthi said,"CM Yogi Adityanath's father left for his heavenly abode at 10.44 am. Our deepest condolences".(ANI REPORT)
