BJP, RJD will form government in Bihar, claims Pappu Yadav

Patna:Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) party chief Pappu Yadav on Friday claimed that arch-rivals BJP and RJD will soon form government in Bihar. Yadav stated that BJP will dethrone Nitish Kumar and choose its own chief ministerial candidate.

Yadav told ETV Bharat, "JD(U) MLA Gopal Mandal has claimed that Nitish Kumar will continue as Chief Minister for next six months and then leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav will be the new CM of Bihar. Nitish's government will soon fall in Bihar. I am not surprised by Mandal's statement.

"BJP has won 74 seats in Bihar, why will it not choose its own CM," he asked.

Accusing JD(U) and RJD of giving tickets to tainted candidates, the JAP supremo said that Kumar and Yadav gave party tickets to candidates having criminal background.

The NDA won the Bihar assembly elections with BJP winning 74 of these, JD(U)43, the Vikassheel Insaan Party 4 and Hindustan Awaam Party (Secular) 4

"If we talk about the ground reality of Bihar, things are very different. BJP may be claiming that NDA government will complete its five-year term but the reality is something different. Factionalism has started brewing between BJP and JD(U) and there are rifts between the two allies," Yadav added.

Stating that BJP has acquired important positions in Bihar, the leader went on to add, "BJP has emerged as JD(U)'s elder brother by bagging 74 seats and the party also elected its own speaker. Nitish's close aide Sushil Kumar Modi has been sent to Rajya Sabha and the saffron party has appointed two deputy Chief ministers. BJP holds all the important positions in the Bihar and is not allowing the expansion of the state cabinet."

Yadav, who unsuccessfully contested the assembly elections from Madhepura constituency, claimed that Nitish is not happy with the BJP.

"RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family are under the scanner in multiple cases of scam and fraud and there are possibilities of it aligning with the BJP. The saffron party will place its own chief ministerial candidate. BJP has formed government in Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka and also is gearing up for north-east states," he added.
