New Delhi:As the counting of votes for DDC polls is underway in Jammu and Kashmir, Communist Party of India (CPI) hit out at BJP on Tuesday saying that the latter is trying to get narrow political gains.

The Communist Party of India (CPI) MP in the Rajya Sabha Binoy Viswam on Tuesday said that BJP is trying to get their narrow political gains by making an entry of the corporates and big industry houses in Jammu & Kashmir.

On the day when counting for District Development Council (DDC) election is taking place in J&K, Viswam said that the grand alliance in J&K will come as a winner.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Viswam said, "BJP is just trying to get their narrow political gains by paying a high price for that. The concept of Kashmir as an integral part of India has been compromised. BJP is creating a fertile ground for corporate houses and big industries by letting the Kashmir people lose their identity and land.

The CPI MP accused that BJP-RSS combination is playing a nasty politics and that led to the abrogation of Article 370.

"BJP is providing a gateway to the big corporates to grab land in J&K," said Viswam.

He said that global corporates have been eyeing to capture the Indian agriculture sector and "Modi government is playing to the tune of those forces."

Referring to the ongoing agitation of Farmers, Viswam said that farmers are determined to protest the government's move to corporatism the Agri sector.

"...Farmers understood the real interest of the government behind bringing three Farm Laws. It's for sure that Government will be forced to withdraw the laws," said Viswam and added "this struggle of the farmers will be proved as a Waterloo of Narendra Modi government," said Viswam.
