Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil on Saturday demanded that former Congress president Rahul Gandhi should apologize to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for targeting him on the Rafale fighter jet deal.
"Rahul Gandhi should apologise to PM Modi for creating an issue over the deal and accusing him of false things. After the court's verdict, Rahul Gandhi apologized in the Supreme Court. He must now apologise to the public as well," he said while speaking to media in Mumbai.

New Delhi: BJP is holding protest demonstrations across the country on Saturday, demanding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's apology for misleading the country on the Rafale deal.
BJP working president JP Nadda asked party functionaries to expose the "blatant lie" of Congress leaders which has hurt the country's image abroad, by raising questions on the transparency of defence deals in India.
He asked party workers to go to people and "expose" the Congress's "slander campaign" against the government.
A three-judge bench presided by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and comprising Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and K M Joseph passed the order on a batch of petitions seeking review of its December 14, 2018 verdict which had upheld purchase of 36 Rafale jets by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government from France.
