New Delhi: The BJP on Tuesday supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision of not suspending the on-going second half of the budget session in view of the coronavirus threat, saying he is right in telling the MPs that it would send the wrong message to the masses.
"It could have sent a wrong message among public. There could have been a chaos, so Prime Minister was right in deciding that the session would not be suspended as was requested by some of the MPs," Bizay Sonkar Shastri told ETV Bharat here.
He said all possible precautions are being taken to contain the disease that has killed thousands of people across the world. The BJP leader said remaining part of budget session would go on as MPs take all precautions.
However, the BJP has either postponed or cancelled various party functions that were to be held in different parts of the country over the next few weeks.
