BJP attacks Congress on family model of Development

Ravi Shankar Prasad, while attacking the Congress on corruption said that the party has not only lied to the nation but kept most of the things secret and hidden. They are the people who use charity for their own personal profits, he rued.

New Delhi:BJP leader and law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, while addressing a press conference in New Delhi said that family commerce and the Congress go hand in hand and even politics is involved in that.

The BJP while attacking the Gandhi family on National Herald case said that even today many stories of the Gandhi family keep on unfolding.

Congress not only lied to people but also kept the truth hidden. Referring to the decision of the IT tribunal on Friday, he said that Nehru Ji started a newspaper called National Herald. This company was given a loan of 90 crores.

In 2010 a company was formed named Young India Limited and Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were part of that company.

Out of Rs. 900000000 transferred to the company, 76% were transferred into the accounts of Sonia and Rahul and rest of the amount was transferred to the company.

The law minister accused the Gandhi family of playing the politics in the name of teaching democratic values to the youth of the country. He said that the party had pleaded Tax exemption on the same lines. However, the land allotted for National Herald for running a newspaper is being given on rent.

He further said that in the report of the Tribunal it has been clearly mentioned the Congress party has not fully and truly disclosed all the material facts in the light of the tax exemption plead. Not only were there misleading facts but the suppression of facts also.

We have no hesitation in saying that the entire transaction of money to Young India movement was kept hidden and secret for the profit of the family.

The minister while taking a jibe at the congress said that which model of development they are now presenting after Vadra Model.

Criticising Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, the minister said that they should stop talking about corruption as they have now presented a new family model of development before the country.

He said that the family who owe assets worth thousands of crores in the name of charity are pointing fingers at BJP.

On the question of ETV Bharat, that Congress is adamant on the demand of JPC in Rafale case, he said that this is a democratic country, everyone has the right to demand even if it is a shameless demand.
