Delhi: In an all-out attack against the opposition, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain lashed out at National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah over his remark claiming that the incumbent ruling government is merely "beating the drums" in the name of the Balakot air strike, and asked the veteran leader to be mindful of his choice of words before making "anti-national statements."
Hussain said, "Considering his (Farooq Abdullah) seniority, we want to request you to watch your mouth and be careful with your words when you say such things about our soldiers."
"We are not the kind of party that would use a soldiers martyrdom to gain poltical mileage out of it," said Hussain in a presser.
Addressing an election rally in Khanyar area of downtown Srinagar, the NC chief and three-time former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah had compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to former German dictator Adolf Hitler on Saturday.
Further taking a dig at Congress, an ally of the National Conference led by Abdullah, Hussain dared Rahul Gandhi to break his alliance with the latter considering the "insensitive" remark made by him.
