Bihar Polls: PM Modi refers to Tejashwi as prince of 'jungle raj'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while launching the second leg of his election campaign in Bihar, attacked the opposition parties and slammed them for 'jungle raj'. Modi said that BJP and NDA have delivered their promises in the state but the opposition has no model and experience to run the government.

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed back-to-back three rallies in Bihar. His first address was Darbhanga, second in Muzaffarpur and third in Patna. This was his second set of rallies for the ongoing assembly polls.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi raked up the Ayodhya issue at an election rally in Darbhanga on Wednesday. 'A grand Ram Temple is being built in Ayodhya, those in politics who used to ask us a date (of temple construction) are now compelled to applaud… It is the identity of BJP and NDA, we do what we promise,' he said.

PM Modi said that the mantra of opposition parties when they were in power was - (paisa hajam, priyojna khatam). He said that they loved commission so much that they never paid attention to connectivity. " You know very well what happened to Kosi Mahasetu, who connected Mithilanchal," PM Modi said in Darbhanga.

Prime Minister attacked opposition leaders and said that they neither had any model nor experience to run the government. He said that if the opposition comes to power then no private companies will come to Bihar.

''The party which is infamous for closing down industries of Bihar is today promising development to the people of Bihar. Not even government jobs, even private companies will shut down in Bihar."

"You (people) can imagine what will happen to the funds for COVID-19 if they (opposition parties) comes to power. What else can people of Bihar expect from the 'Yuvraj' of 'Jungle Raj', given their past record? You know them better than I do," Prime Minister said in Muzaffarpur.

In Patna, Prime Minister Modi told voters that they can save Bihar from becoming 'bimar' a term used to describe the state's backwardness in terms of economic growth. "Just like you can save your self from COVID-19 with a mask, similarly with a single vote you can save Bihar from becoming 'bimar'."
