Hyderabad (Telangana):With the ongoing lockdown hitting migrants and daily wagers the hardest, two organisations have come to the rescue of many such labourers across the city, by providing them with ration to help them tide over the tough phase.
Two organisations -- the Bihar Association and the Bihar Foundation are working in cooperation with each other to help the needy staying in various parts of the city.
General Secretary of the Bihar Association, Uttam Yadav, told ETV Bharat that people who lost their livelihoods owing to the lockdown, had been requesting for ration, following which the organisation decided to provide them with essential food items.
According to a press statement released by Yadav, the association has constituted a monitoring committee at the regional level for this program.
This has been done so that the committee can easily identify and help the Bihari daily wagers and others in need in their respective areas, and go to their homes and distribute ration materials with ease.
