Jamalpur: A man betting on Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches was arrested from Munger's Jamalpur area of Bihar on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police Lipi Singh was informed that a large network of betting is being run in the area. She immediately directed the District Intelligence Unit of East Colony Police Station In-charge Dharmendra Kumar to take action.
Police caught Kailash alias Kalia red-handed and recovered over Rs 6 lakh cash, a laptop and four mobile phones.
Police have booked the accused men under sections of Gambling act and 66 B (Cyber-crime) of IT act with others.
