Bihar elections: BJP and JDU to contest on 100 seats each, LJP on 43 seats

The assembly election in Bihar are not far and according to the sources, the decision has been taken about who will contest the election from NDA and Nitish Kumar is likely to be the Chief Minister if NDA comes to power.

New Delhi: Assembly elections will take place in Bihar this year and according to the sources the decision has been taken about who will contest the election from NDA.

Bihar Chief Minister and JDU National President Nitish Kumar, top BJP leaders and Union ministers and LJP's Senior leader Ram Vilas Paswan, LJP national president Chirag Paswan have taken a decision in this regard which will be formally announced in time to come.

In Bihar, NDA will contest the assembly elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. There are 243 assembly seats in Bihar.

According to sources, BJP and JDU will contest on 100 seats each, LJP will contest on 43 seats..All the three parties agreed on this formula and there is no tussle.

However, which party candidate will contest on which assembly seat will be decided within the next 2 months, the negotiations are going on going on the matter.

Earlier, JDU had demanded that it will contest on more seats in Bihar. However that was not agreed upon.

BJP will fight with JDU on equal number of seats and if the NDA government is formed then Nitish Kumar will be the chief minister.

According to sources, the LJP has agreed to contest on 43 seats and has demanded a deputy CM from their party if NDA government is formed in the state.

LJP has been assured of it however no guarantee was given to them.

Even before the Lok Sabha elections there were speculations in some quators that BJP would contest on more seats than JDU and even the allaince could be broken if the the parties did not agree on seat sharing.

However nothing happened both parties fought on equal seats and exactly the same is going to happen in the assembly.
