Tumminakatti (Karnataka): Struggling with many modern-day problems of massive population, chaotic traffic, life-threatening pollution and mounting garbage, waste park at Tumminakatti Gram Panchayat is a unique creation in itself. Created from waste materials and scrap items, an innovative park has been made by the staff of the Tumminakatti Gram Panchayat.
Grabbing everyone's attention, team members of the Gram Panchayat have worked for almost a year to built this ingenious park. Water bottles and beer cans thrown as garbage have been collected by the workers for the creation of this park which has received wide appreciation.
With a population of 15,000, Tumminakatti village is situated along the border of Ranebennuru taluk town in Haveri district. The village has a solid waste management unit which has been utilised for the creation of this beautiful park.
